Lucknow. Sanjay Prakash Rai alias Sanjay Sherpuria, arrested from Lucknow, has turned out to be a defaulter of State Bank of India (SBI). The company of Sanjay Prakash Rai and his wife Kanchan Sanjay Prakash Rai has defrauded SBI of 350 crores. Sanjay's company in the name of Ahmedabad's Kandla Energy and Chemicals had taken a loan from SBI. His story is running in all the newspapers and channels. His photographs are being shown with many leaders ranging from PM.

From PM Modi to Deputy CM Keshav Maurya, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, along with many influential leaders, Sanjay Rai used to post pictures on social media and described himself as close to all the big leaders of the Central Government. Photos have also been posted with several media heads and journalists. There is also a photo of the PM being received on the plane. Whether they are real or morphed, not sure. But a video has also come in which Sanjay is giving a speech and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is listening and clapping. Many of his articles have also been published in Dainik Bhaskar, whose cuttings he himself posted.

Not only this, claiming to have his own factory in Gujarat, he was also promoting Gujarat connection. It is being told that he had taken Rs 11 crore in the name of managing the ongoing investigation of Gaurav Dalmiya in ED. An amount of 11 crores was deposited twice by Gaurav from the account of his Family Office Trust to the account of Sanjay Rai's Youth Rural Entrepreneurship. On January 21, Rs 5 crore and on January 23, Rs 6 crore were transferred.
